aespa re-imagines the 90s with "Dreams Come True"

The princesses of 4th gen K-Pop are back with their latest release "Dreams Come True"! This release is a remastered song of S.E.S 90s hit single of the same title. The music video begins with an aespa style remix opening as it leads to the original 90s song's intro. Throughout the music video we see breath taking and fairytale like visuals. At the end of the song we see that aespa takes us to KWANGYA as we see the ae's appear, confirming that the song will be part of the KWANGYA storyline. Met Gala 2021, is back!

The Met Gala is one of the most prestigious events of the year, anyone who is anyone is on the guest lists, it brings poise and elegance to the streets of New York City. Post COVID 19, with the cooperation of fellow citizens, events have been popping out all around the world, and this one is no exception. Met Gala 2021 is going to be the best one to date, after the cancellation of the 2020 event. 

A bit of background, Met Gala was founded by Eleanor Lambert, an annual fundraising gala benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. Every year, A-Listers and stars come from around the world as the gala marks the beginning of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. 

The ‘When, Where, and Theme’

The Met Gala will be taking place at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York City, on September 13th, 2021.

This year's theme is dedicated to ‘American Fashion’ and its change over the years with its political debates, social movements, and changes that one may take; such as body confidence and gender fluidity. The Wendy Yu Curator, in charge of the Costume Institute, felt that celebrating America with its diversity, young artists being more transparent and self-reflective. Everyone has a story to tell, and this is definitely the way to honor them, dedicating a night full of originality and diversity to the world. Some say that the Met Gala is the Oscars in the fashion world, and who are we to disagree.

Everyone wants to know who will be hitting the red carpet; but you never know who and what they’ll be wearing, the number one rule of the Met Gala is, ‘Always expect the unexpected. What we do know is many are hoping to catch a glimpse of the world-famous boyband, BTS, rumors have been circulating on Twitter in waves since the Met Gala was announced. Not to mention, the female girl group BlackPink has been said to be on the invitees' list too. 

Will we be seeing BTS and BlackPink walking the red carpet at the gala? That’s the best part, the excitement! This is what it’s all about, bringing in the known, representing something different, but all sharing the same generous agenda. The not knowing, the outrageously beautiful pieces, the surprises at the gala. It’s a beautiful event, one for the ages for years to come.
